KASZUBIAN PLANK
We joke that the Longest Plank in the World is the ninth treasure of Kaszuby. There is something in this, because we live in a world where the good promotion of any idea is the condition for its success.
NOBLE PRIZE WINNER’S TABLE
In order to continue the record-breaking work already hanging on the wall and not leaving it as a lonely exhibit, but a meeting place for people, we built a long table from the tree’s slab left from cutting the plank,
MUSEUM OF CARPENTRY
The exhibitions at the Education and Region Promotion Centre also have a museum nature. Various carpentry, wheelwright’s, farming, carter’s, medical and household tools from the 18th century to the outbreak of World War II are displayed here.
SCOUT’S HOUSE
The Scout’s House is one of the first buildings that come into view in the vicinity of the Centre. It was moved here from a holiday resort in nearby Wieżyca. It was earmarked for demolition.
HISTORY OF THE POLISH MANOR HOUSE
The grounds of the Centre accommodate a replica of the manor house from Salino near Wejherowo. The word “manor house” is usually associated with a large estate and big building.
IN THE SOVIET CAMP
The Siberian Deportee House, i.e. the wooden house transported from Irkutsk and reassembled in Szymbark evokes great astonishment or even disbelief from visitors!
HEART FROM STONE
The Kaszubians strove for years to commemorate the heroes of the Secret Military Organisation Gryf Pomorski. The choice of the boulder for this purpose was not accidental.
IN GRYF POMORSKI’S BUNKER
This place located next to the small church evokes the most intense emotions from visitors. We built a replica of one of the bunkers belonging to TOW Gryf Pomorski during the war.
KASZUBIAN COTTAGE
We moved the Kaszubian cottage to the Centre from Wilanów in the Przodkowo municipality in the Kartuzy province. It is approx. 250 years old.
UPSIDE-DOWN HOUSE
A house put on its roof driven into the ground? Does not make any sense? You can’t ive in such a house.… Are you sure? You live every day at home, which is called a world.
UNDER THE CARE OF ST. RAPHAEL
The final piece of the Education and Region Promotion Centre in Szymbark and the material expression of the spirit living in it, concerns the church of St. Rafał Kalinowski,
